| 07/18/2016 | INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE | Approved | Follow up inspection was called to the property by Luara Greenberg (compliant) states she felt and heard banging again, arrived with Supv. Romero. She showed his to her bedroom but nothing was heard or felt, she stated it stopped. Made contact with Angie was allowed into gym where we found a 65 year lady working out with Laura.Supvisor Romero went back to compliants house while I stayed here. I dropped 25 pound weight 3 times and dropped the lat plate machine also 3 times, called and spoke to Mr Romero nothing was heard or felt by him or Mrs Greenberg. Waited 5 mintues and dropped another 25lbs dumbell and again plate weights were dropped 3 more times. Called inspector Romero again nothing was felt or heard. It should also be noted there are a dozen or so business in same area she might be hearing noises from. Royal Carwash with 6 yd metal container, La Pattie Academy also another 6yd container, McDonalds with 2/6yd containers and a small strip mall with another 6yd container which we saw being serviced at about 2:30 pm today . Any one of these containers being serviced might produce the same sound and vibrations she is feeling and hearing but not at this gym today. Supvisor Romero called Mrs Greenberg to explain what also maybe the cause but she did not answer. Will move to close out this case | |
| 06/14/2016 | INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE | Approved | Arrived on site for inspection, along with inspector Goodman met the owners of the property spoke for a bit outside of the structure. Advised us that AC was recently permitted in. Was then allowed into the structure where by entering the radio was turned down because it was load inside however was never heard from when we were outside of the structure. This is an all open space structure, found not bathrooms or other modifications that would require a permit or review at this time. There was a large cable, lat pull down squat combo machine in a taped off area right up front at the corner of the building with an array of dumbbells against the wall this area was for the clients we were told. The rest of the area had a cable blocking access with posted saying for personal use only do not cross this line. Space for clients only was about 200 square feet in total. Both trainers work with elderly people and a lot of their business is not even done at the gym they travel to their clients. One owner strictly does rehab and movement based training, she meets clients at their home because it is hard for clients to even make it to their business. Angie the second owner also does a lot of her work outside of the property. She does have clients coming to the gym but both stated no more that five clients a day, and no more than one client at a time. Both have also stated they have family members also who utilize the gym, but they are not clients. We instructed the trainer's to load up some weights and give us the worst case scenario if weights to drop, and so they did a curling bar was loaded with weights and drop from around knee level nothing was heard from the outside and it was dropped a total of four times. Both owners emphatically stated these are elderly clients and weight of this caliber would not be done by their clients, moreover they don't allow anyone to drop the weights. It is also important to note the floor is about an inch and a half rubber mat and TPD also did the same test and also heard nothing. Will take information gathered today and meet with supervision on our findings | |
