02/29/2016 | INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE | Approved | Went to the property and knocked on the door the ownewr came out the back door and I explined to him that there are a number of violation on the property, we started to talk about some of them and I asked about going inside to make sure the trailer was safe to live in. He shook his head as no. I then went and got an Administrative Search Warrant. Contacted Rick Saldate and explined to him what was going on he said to contact TPD and let him know when they show up. Asked Gerald Goodmen to go along with me on the visit to the property for more eyes the better. Got on site call TPD 2 officer showed up along with Supervisor Saldate. The owner of the property came up to and siad he would let us in that we did not need the warrant. We started are inspection from the front door of the trailer and found the inside front room to be filled with trash/debris, we found the inside of the house to be unfit for human habitation, the bathroom work but he was clean dishes in his bathtub because he could not get to the sick in the kitchin because of all the stuff in the way, the living room was filed with electronics and there was no clear path for egress, of the two bedrooms both was filled with trash and debris, the bedroom in the back were the owner stated he sleeps was fill with electronics and other items that made it hard to even get the bedroom door open. As we walked out the back door we found an addtion attched to the trailer that did not have a permit, there is a shed on the south side of the trailer that dosn't meet set backs from the trailer that is 6 ft. He only has a couple of ft if that. There is 2 other sheds in the back of the lot that are under 120 and are fine. There is storage inside the carport that makes the area hard to get in and around in which make it a danager for egress. There is storage not screend in the front and both side of the trailer. There is storage in the rear of the tailer as well. All the storage is over 25% of the lot and will need to be removed. or place inside the sheds that are not going to have to be removed or permittted. Notice and ordre to vacate the property was given to the owner the property was posted. Told the owner he could be there during daylight hours only and that was to be able to clean the inside. Would be back on 2 March to see how he is coming along with the clean up. |
