02/15/2016 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a collapsed roof. Arrived and the roof covering for the second floor and the middle area for the second floor has fallen to the ground level on the north court yard area. Had no injuries and the building has been vacated. Did walk the property with T.F.D. and the stucco is hanging in areas and still has some movement in different areas. Southwest Gas was on site and the meter is being pinned at this time. The electrical was removed due to wires were hanging and no electrician on site. Did meet with some tenants and they were allowed to go back in to shut their computors down and grab some paper work to take with them. A contractor did show to the property to clean up and advised that they better look due to the amout of damage that was done. The contractor did call a contruction supervisor for the building section to look at the damage. At that time an engineer and architect are going to be called to look at the damage. Did look for the owner and he left the property. Did call him back and refused to come back to the site stating it's a city issue. Did let the contractor know that the owner is not coming back and will be securing all the openings to not allow any one into the area. The contractor went and got a deadbolt for one door to have access to enter the area for the engineers and the architects. Did do the postings of "Do Not Enter" on all the openings and all the opeings have been pinned shut. A medical doctor came and was let in to get some of his belongings due just found out. Once the doctor was done the property was secured. Took pictures and due to the owner leaving the site will do the N.O.V. and take to the office. RV.
