Date Description Inspector Results Comments
02/03/2016 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved Received call from Martin Lopez and communication called that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and T.P.D. on site with a car through building. The property is under crime scene and was only able to check the structure for collapsing and the electrical. The structure is OK at this time and the electrical was removed due to wires were on the ground and not able to find the other end. The electrical was removed at the main breaker until every thing can be checked once the investigation is complete. The owner went to another property until the investigation was done and the area can be checked better due to not able to disturb the area at this time. The bearing wall was hit on the east side of the house by a truck from across the street in the living room area. 6-wood studs were broken which had foam on the exterior with a 1-coat stucco and drywall in the interior. The impact from the couch being hit was moved into the front door and wedged. There was furniture that was pushed into the walls and making holes into the drywall and breaking a wood door to the living room closet. At this time did not see any cracks in the ceiling area where the stud were broken but will need to be check during the daylight hours. There was no damage outside the living room area that was seen. The owner did give permission to cover the opening due to not able to get any one. Did let the owner know that the building will be secured when completed and leaving the site. Did get permission to check the site damage from T.P.D. The wiring was able to place wire nuts on the wire that was cut and put the electrical back on. Did call Arcaiden Industries to the property to secure the opening. Covered an 8' x 8' opening. Did do the posting on the front window of "Do Not Enter". The owner did come back to the property to sign the paper work. Did go over that if a contractor or engineer gives a letter stating that it's OK to stay in the house, will need to get a copy for records. Did go over going in and out of the property at day light hours and not after dark. Will check in 60 days. RV.
