FOR THE ADJACENT PROPERTY WHICH WAS A RESIDENTIAL UNIT, I COULD SMELL THE PAINT FUMES VERY STRONGLY. 5002 E 22ND ST IS AN AUTO REPAIR AND PAINT SHOP. I CONDUCTED AN INSPECTION OF THE EXTERIOR AND THE INTERIOR OF THE BUILDING. THE PAINT FUMES WERE SUPER STRONG I RETURNED TO MY TRUCK FOR MY PROTECTIVE MASK. IN THE CENTER OF THE INTERIOR OF THE BUILDING WAS A PLASTIC WALLED PAINT BOOTH ESTIMATE SIZE IS 20 FEET BY 25 FEET. THE BOOTH WAS IN USE. THERE WAS A 110 V FAN MOTOR BEING USED TO EXTRACT THE FUMES OUT OF THE BUILDING USING A 3 INCH FLEX HOSE CONNECTED TO THE OVER HEAD HEATER VENT SYSTEM. THE MAIN DISCONNECT HAD NEW CONDUIT INSTALLED POSSIBLE NEW PANEL INSTALLED WITHOUT PERMITS. I INSPECTED ALL THE ELECTRICAL PANELS INSIDE THE BUILDING. TWO THE PANEL HAD EQUIPMENT CORDS HARD WIRED IN. ALSO UNAPPROVED WIRING METHODS. THE SHOP HAS HAND TOOLS, AIR COMPRESSOR AN A WELDER AND OTHER EQUIPMENT. THE ENTIRE BUILDINGS INTERIOR HAD A STRONG SMELL OF FUMES. THE POWER WAS ORDERED TO BE CUT OFF BY TEP. THE CURRENT USE OF STORING, REPAIRING AND PAINTS VEHICLES IS NOT APPROVED. A NOTICE AND ORDER WAS ISSUED ON SITE TO THE TENANT |
