| 11/15/2018 | FIRE - FINAL | Partial Approval | Ok for TCO for the 6th floor | |
| 11/15/2018 | FIRE - FINAL | Partial Approval | 1) The new FACP that is capable and listed for smoke control still needs to be built. 2) Existing FACP needs to be de-energized and removed 3) New FACP needs to be installed. Just so that we are all clear on these issues...This may take a day or two to complete. Obviously they will be without an active fire alarm while this whole process is being completed. Because the panel is being replaced and a new program is being written and installed we will need to test the building fire alarm again for proper operation. Testing the fire alarm again will take about 2 days. Only after we test the fire alarm would they be allowed to come off fire watch. 4) The smoke detectors in the stairwells were removed by the recommendation of Jensen Hughes. These smoke detectors were required by TFD as a complete smoke system due to the Not a High Rise but a High Rise issue. They will need to be put back into service and tested. 5) The smoke detectors in the corridors by the stairwell need to be removed and hard-piped as a requirement from Jensen Hughes for the smoke control system 6) All water flow, tamper and fire ump wiring needs to be removed and hard-piped as a requirement from Jensen Hughes for the smoke control system 7) The Smoke Control Graphic Annunciator is still under review from Jensen Hughes and has not been approved nor has it been ordered yet. 8) Other required Graphic Annunciator has not been approved by TFD nor has it been ordered yet 9) TFD is still awaiting fire alarm plans (exclusive of smoke control) for approval prior to final testing and COFO. They have been working off the approved set from the beginning. The approved set does not show any of the hundred or so smoke detectors and the operation that we requested. 10) The 6th floor still needs to have the control modules and smoke detectors installed and tested 11) The roof needs to have the NAC (Notification appliance circuit) installed and notification devices terminated. 12) Need to order and install the roof duct detectors for the smoke control and the elevator shaft 13) Test the Bi-Directional Antenna and confirm the fire alarm signals 14) Confirm that the complete fire alarm system is on the generator back up (Only floors B-2 are the generator) 15) Confirm the two hour rated cable for the smoke control system has been installed 16) Need to install and verify the printer for the fire alarm Outstanding fire sprinkler items: 1) Need to perform the final walk of the 6th floor 2) Roof needs to have the fire sprinkler trimmed 3) Roof needs to have the fire sprinkler final performed 4) Standpipe on the roof needs to be painted 5) Standpipe on the roof needs to have the gauge installed 6) Standpipe North stair is now obstructed by smoke controls. Need to adjust the standpipe connection so that we can connect our house 7) Fire pump test header is missing the cap 8) All water flow, tamper and fire pump signals need to be re-confirmed to the FACP once they are hard piped Outstanding Building items: 1) Fire rated doors Jackson 2 hour corridor need to have the proper gaskets installed, the proper hard ware installed. As of right now the doors are installed but with the current open/closing hardware they cannot take the trash out of the building. In order to take the trash out they need to disconnect the hard ware. Hardware was unlatched when I was out. This is unacceptable. 2) The stairwells still need to have the illumination installed 3) Jensen Hughes has requested some lighting changes be made in the stairwell regarding the smoke control system 4) The south stairwell roof access needs to have the sign-age installed 5) Roof elevator and equipment room need to have proper sign-age installed 6) 6th floor needs to have the damper stickers installed 7) The elevator communication head end needs to be moved to the fire alarm control center room 8) Need to have the table in place in command room along with copies of the electrical, mechanical, fire sprinkler, smoke control drawings 9) Roof top needs to have the emergency and exit lights installed and on the back up generator 10) Smoke control needs to have the air-balance test scheduled and performed 11) Jensen Hughes needs to test the smoke control system. As of this morning Jensen Hughes as still not approved the fire alarm plans for the smoke control. |
