11/22/2016 ENGINEERING - FINAL Denied LOOKED OVER THE SITE, CURRENTLY THE CONTRACTORS ARE WORKING ON ALL AREAS AT THIS TIME, SO THIS SITE IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR A TEMPORARY CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY. THE FOLLOWING AREAS HAVE BEEN CHECKED FOR COMPLIANCE FOR HANDICAP ACCESS AND DO NOT MEET THE SPECIFICATIONS AT THIS TIME. 1) PEDESTRIAN ACCESS ON THE NORTHSIDE OF THE BUILDING IS BEING BLOCKED DUE TO CONSTRUCTION IN ALL AREAS. 2) THE HANDICAP ACCESS IS ALLOWED ONLY THROUGH THE REAR OF THE SITE BY THE USE OF RAMPS ALONG THE EAST SIDE OF THE BUILDING FROM THE ONE HANDICAP PARKING SPACE. THE IST 15 FEET OF THE RAMP HEADING EAST TO THE FIRST LANDING HAS A RISE OF APPROXIMATELY 8.5% OR MORE AND CROSS SLOPES THAT EXCEED 2%. HEADING NORTH FROM THE FIRST LANDING THE RISE IS LESS THAN 8.33% IN THE RUNNING SLOPE, AND LESS THAN 2% CROSS SLOPES. THE RAMP APPEARS TO STAY WITHIN THE TOLERANCES FOR RUNNING SLOPE AND CROSS SLOPE PAST THE 3RD LANDING. BETWEEN THE THIRD LANDING AND THE UPPER DECK THE THE RUNNING SLOPE CHANGES IN THE LAST 10 PLUS FEET WHERE IT EXCEEDS A RISE THAT IS GREATER THAN 8.5% AND AS MUCH AS 10% AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS. 3) THE HANDRAIL ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF THE RAMP APPEARS TO BE WEAK IN THE ALLIGNMENT AND MAY NEED TO HAVE SOME TYPE OF STIFFENERS ADDED. THIS DETERMINATION WILL BE MADE BY THE BUILDING FINAL INSPECTOR OR THE BUILDING OFFICIAL.
