Except for reasonable repairs and alterations, no nonconforming sign shall be moved, altered, removed and reinstalled, or replaced, unless it is brought into compliance with the requirements of this Sign Code. The non -conforming pole sign is being replaced, the sign must be removed prior to installation of new conforming sign. The following applies to low-profile monument signs. Low profile type sign, general requirements: 2. Maximum area: Sixty (60) square feet per face. Minimum continuous base (clearance from grade to bottom of sign): Two (2) feet. The sign indicated on application is in excess of 60 sq ft and does not meet the criteria of a low profile sign. Note: The entire area within a single continuous perimeter composed of squares or rectangles that enclose the extreme limits of the advertising message. The entire sign area is included in calculations. Engineered plans and specifications. The following signs shall require engineered plans and calculations sealed by an engineer and/or architect registered in the State of Arizona: 1. Detached signs when the area of the sign or the aggregate area of all signs on the sign structure, including the pylon and/or pole cover, exceeds sixty (60) square feet.
