The entire area within a single continuous perimeter composed of squares or rectangles that enclose the extreme limits of the advertising message. Site inspection revealed that red panels have been installed in the location of the signs indicated on application. The installed red panels would need to be included in the sign area calculation. Revise application and drawings to include entire sign area. Note: There is a maximum sign area for each building location per Houghton Town Center Variance Case # S-08-22. To clarify what sign code regulations that may apply to a sign project, A Sign Code Determination Letter may be appropriate. The letter may include a determination on the sign category and type of sign for a new sign design.
