I was called out to the property of 2003 East Eastland Street by communications for Tucson fire. When I arrived I found that a mattress had caught on fire in the livingroom, smoke damage to the living room and kitchen, broken window in the living room, couple of penetration holes in the ceiling. Smoke detector was burnt. and the electrical line from light fixture was damaged. no major damage to structure, owner secured the window, unit had no electricity red taged, gas was off, I posted property unfit to occupy due to no electricity, will issue a notice in the mail to the owner. Also will have area inspector to follow up on violation to the exterior of the property lots of trash and debris and junk motor vehicles in front and at the rear.. |
