Arrived on the scene and met with the fire investigators. Fire was in the bathroom. Ceiling has been pulled down to check for hot spots. No evidence of electrical fire in either the wiring or the exhaust fan. Damage was to the ceiling and the mechanical exhaust fan and the electrical wiring when they pull the ceiling down. No evidence at this time to damage to the roof. No smoke detectors are present in the bedrooms. The smoke detector in the hall has been disabled by the tenant according to her statement. No utilities were disconnected. Electric panel was left off. Tenant was on the property when I arrived. Spoke with her and got the phone number for the owner and the maintenance man. Owner's number is the mother that lives in Tucson. They did not have the phone number to the lady listed as in charge of the trust. Spoke with the maintenance man and informed him of the situation on site. Let him know that the electric panel was off. Wrote out notice of violation for permits required. Gave an abatement notice of violation due to damage from the fire. Bathroom is not in a usable state so unit cannot be occupied at this time. Did indemnification order to the tenant so she has access to the property for medication and other personal effects. Explained the indemnification order and what it entailed for time frames. Posted the unit with a do not enter and explained the time frame that you would be able to be in the unit. TPD investigator was on-site questioning the tenets son. When fire investigators and police investigators were done with the scene & I explained to the tenant what needed to be done and what could be done and went over all the information again. Left scene.
