MY INSPECTION FOUND A 4' X6' WOOD PLATFORM THAT SPLIT THE BASEMENT AND IST FLOOR FRAMED FLOORING SYSTEM, ALLOWING ENTRY INTO BOTH AREAS. DOUBLE DOOR, 2 INCH THICK DOORS WERE CLOSED AT THE TIME AND THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE DOORS. PLATFORM 3" X 4" STOCK WAS USED TO FRAME THE PLATFORM, DECKING 1 1/2" THICK. SPKE TO JIM, STATED A PERMIT WOULD NOT BE REQUIRED TO THE THE VERY MINOR DAMAGE, ASKED HE REPLACE THE PLATFORM WITH LIKE FOR LIKE MATERIALS OR LARGER AND ASKED THAT THE DECKING BE REPLACED WITH AT LEAST TWO LAYERS OF 3/4" PLYWOOD.
