10/27/2015 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved Received call from communication and T.F.D. on site for an apartment fire. Arrived and the units were still on scene and had a towel on fire on the deck on the rear of the unit. There was no damage to the unit or the deck. Someone had seen smoke coming from the deck and called the fire department. When the fire units did arrived they found a towel the was smoldering on the deck. The tenant was smoking earlier and had gone to bed and was sleeping at the time of the incident. The front window was broken to gain entry into the unit put the fire out on the deck. Did check the interior of the unit due to concerns from the fire department due to the amount of trash and debris through out the unit. Did an inspection once checking the deck and while walking through the unit observed the trash and debris on the floor, counter and furniture. Did try and call management and the maintenance to check on boarding up the window that was broken and to check the unit of the trash and debris. Due to no calls back or anyone on the property to assist on the call did call Arcaiden Industries to have the opening on the window secured. Did let the tenant know that he will be given until tomorrow afternoon to have the unit cleaned up to stay in the unit. If the unit is not cleaned or show progress on cleaning, the tenant will be asked to vacate the unit. While doing the paper work and Arcaiden Industries showing to the property, an assistant manager showed to the property and went over the issues on the property. She did sign the paper work. The manager did walk to the unit to check the condition of the unit and met with the tenant to discuss the issues in the unit and the agreements on keeping the unit cleaned. The tenant was given until tomorrow afternoon to clean the unit and will again be checked if the tenant can remain in the unit. At that time the unit will be decided to vacate the unit and will try and call La Frontera who the tenant is being cared or assisted by. Will check the unit tomorrow. RV.
