Received call from communication that T.F.D. on site with house fire. Arrived and the units were still on scene and the fire investigators on site and not able to enter the house due to the levels of the CO. Did have 4-dogs in the house that have died. The fire started in the kitchen and went into the hallway. The water heater and the forced air furnace were burned in the fire. The kitchen was burned and total lost to cabinets, drywall, appliances of stove, refrigerator, microwave and the hallway. The drywall was burned or pulled down and heavy smoke damage through out. The bedroom on the north side has some fire damage. The doors in the hallway have damage. The gas meter was pinned and the electrical meter was blanked due to the damage of the fire and the water was turned off at the valve in the front of the house due to leaking water near the water heater. There some holes in the drywall and not from the fire damage and were there before the fire. Animal Control on site due to the amount of dogs on the property and the deaths of the dogs. The owner did sign the paper work and will be locking the doors when done getting items out of the house for the night. The owner has been in contact with the insurance and checking on what has to be done to start the claim. Did do the posting of "Do Not Enter" on the front window. Did repair the front gate where damaged at the hinges for the gate. Will check in 45 days. RV. |
