| 08/21/2015 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | 08/21/15: Code Enforcement responded to a collapsng building communicated from TFD & TFD. Inspection found City owned property in process of demolition under permit. Building is single story commercial building that appears to have had a dividing wall (divides into two stores) that more than likely erected without permits evidenced by the lack of footers and rebar. Wall failed and collapsed onto two workers. After TPD investigation and discussions with Gen Svc Rep (Brian Conte) the buidlling was turned over to Code Enforcement for assesment and securing. Due an impending storm, the need to preserve a crime scene and a necessary reveiw early next week by Transporation the structure was secured by surrounding security fence. At this time Code Enforcement will monitor the direction of Transporation and allow them to process building. Once a clear direction has been communicated, Code Enforcement will close case. |
