Martin Romero the supervisor called tha T.F.D on site with a building fire. Arrived and fire was full alarm and the fire was in the rear of the building where was at the base of the floor to the basement. The wood used for backing was burning where connected to the wood frame stud. The exterior coating was stucco with chicken wire and found sheet metal ductwork touching the wood and in the area of burning. The owner was on site and wanted to turn the power back on to check for testing of the chicken wire. Did meet with T.E.P. and they would wait and the fire chief stated that the units will stay on site until tested. The electrician will called to the site to do the testing. The power was turned back on and the testing was done and no current was in the wiring. Did go through the building to check if lights were flickering or smell any more burning. At that time it was decided to leave the power on and allow the electrician to check for shortages or if anything needs to be addressed. Will go back at 4:00 pm to check the status of the repairs or the investigation on the electrical system. RV. |
