Date Description Inspector Results Comments
06/03/2015 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved Had a fire next door in a vehicle in the carport and the smoke carried over to this unit and windows were broken. One of the windows was by the front door at the bottom of a fix panel and the other window was in the front bedroom where they were broken to check if the unit was occupied at the time of the fire. The front door was kicked in and was a panel door and the door came apart. Did have a realtor on site who was the property manager for the owner who lives out of town. The house was rented out and the tenants were in the process of moving out due to purchasing a house and received the keys today for the new house. The realtor did make contact with a contractor to board up the house of the windows and the front door was able to be locked by the key. The drywall in the carport ceiling has cracks in all the joints of the carport. The walls and ceiling has heavy smoke damage with some going to the front of the house to the overhang of the roof. The interior of the house is OK but smells like smoke due to the front door being brokened. The tenants were allowed to stay in the house but they were going to stay somewhere eles due to the smell. The realtor signed the paper work. The tenants were washing their vehicles due to the soot from the smoke of the fire. The vehicle were in good condition with no damage. The house is going to be sold. Will check in 10 days. RV.
