06/01/2015 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Received call from the owner that the power will be turned on today. She requested that the unit be opened. I advised that I would not go to the site until the power has been turned back on. I did call the management to let them know that the power will be turned back on. I did advise that the unit will be opened to the owner when the power is turned back on. I did call maintenance and checked if the power has been turned on and it hadn't been turned on. Did advise the maintenance that the unit will be opened to the owner once the power was turned back on. He was aware. Did get a call in the afternoon approx. 3:30 pm that the power was turned back on. I did go to the site with Inspector Dan Ingram and the power has been turned back on and called Arcaiden Industries to remove the plywood from the deck railing and the front door and remove the screws from the sliding glass doors. The metal security door was removed from the bolts and placed on the rear porch deck due to the amount of damage the door has. The owner had left the property and the unit was left opened. The owner was called that the unit was opened and she stated OK that she is on her way back to the unit. T.P.D. was called to the site due to the action of the owner blaming for the damage to the unit. Advised her to call RISK Management to report the damage she is claiming that was done. Did call the management back to let them know of the action of the owner of the blaming of the damage to the unit and they stated that they have pictures on what she has done through out the property to other location and units. The unit has no smoke detectors and will do N.O.V. She did bring 2-smoke detectors and they have no base plate to mount the smoke detectors to the walls or ceilings. RV.
05/29/2015 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Went to the property to open the door to allow the owner to remove items out of the property. The owner is stating that the property is going to be sold. All the secured areas are OK except the front security door has some of the lag bolts loose where trying to be removed. Did take pictures of the bolts being loosened. T.P.D. was called to the site for assistance with the owner. The owner did not show and the realtor was on site and tried to call the owner. I did call the phone number where the owner call yesterday and it was a friend who let her use the phone. The friend was going to try and find the owner. Did leave the site due to had court at 9:00 AM and will be back at 5:00 PM to re-secure. RV.
05/29/2015 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Arrived and the unit was opened and no one on site. Did call Arcaiden Industries to the site to have the opening re-secured of the front door. All the posting still in place on the plywood under the metal security door. Did re-bolt the metal security door back into place. Will wait for next want to gain entry or the next break-in into the unit. Will check in 10 days. RV.
05/28/2015 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Received calls that the people were in the unit. Did advised that they call T.P.D. to the site and I would go to the site but take awhile to get there. Arrived and the security door was opened and the front wooden door has been taken off the hinges. Did try and knock on the door and no one came out. T.P.D. did arrive and the unit was cleared and no one found in the unit. Was able to check the sliding glass doors and the screws were still in place. Did check the bedroom and the bed has been slept in and the living room has items that were placed on the couches have been moved and bike tires were now on the couch. Some of the items have been moved in the middle of the living room as a coffee table and boxes that were placed near the coffee table. Once the unit was cleared, did call Arcaiden Industries to the site to have the front door secured and the opening where the electrical has been tapped into covered. The front door had a sheet of plywood installed to cover where the door removed and the metal security door re-secured with pins. Did place a piece of plywood over the opening where the electrical was cut from the exterior light for the common area with placing the wiring back in the plastic box on the exterior. All the posting have been removed from the metal security door and re-posted the Notice of Violation and the Emergency Notice to Vacate on the plywood before the metal security door was secured. Did take pictures of the securement and the postings. Will check the site tomorrow. RV.
