05/21/2015 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved After several additional visits to this address no automotive repair activity has occurred. Case closed.
05/06/2015 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved We received a call from W4 stating that the sign was out again, this time on Escalante east of Pantano near an abandoned self-service car wash. I went to check and did find the sign in the median/ROW in the location stated. There was no activity at the car wash and there was no evidence of any auto repair taking place. There were no parts or automotive fluids of any kind at the location. I then responded to the residence where work was being done last week and there was no activity there either. I confiscated the sign and will follow up again to insure the activity has ceased.
05/01/2015 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved I went by the address again today and the sign was not out, the one vehicle that the man was working on was back on the ground with all 4 wheels on. There was no auto repair activity taking place at the residence. A couple of the vehicles that were there on Wednesday were no longer there. I'll follow up again next week to insure that the occupant is still adhering to the cease and desist order.
04/30/2015 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved I hand delivered the NOV / Cease and Desist order yesterday afternoon. I explained very clearly to the occupant, Josh, that operating an automotive repair business in a residential zone was strictly forbidden. I advised him to reassemble the vehicle he was working on and discontinue any further auto repair activity there at that location. I did advise I would be back in a day or two to check and explained that if I found him working on cars I would issue a citation. He reponded only by saynig "okay" numerous times.
