04/17/2015 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved Received call from office that T.F.D. on site with a car thru building. Arrived and T.P.D. on site with a small SUV going the the barrier masonry wall for the property facing Park Ave. The SUV than hit 4-different vehicles that were in the parking lot than hit a stairway to building #4. The stairway was damage to not allow passage to the upper units of #411 and #414. The tenants were advised to get their items out for the night or a few days. The units were not damaged but the deck was raised to the second floor and the wood post that supported the deck were moved and not in the originals postion. The post base anchors were pulled out and not bolted to the concrete floor. The center and north wood post have been moved and are rotted at the base and need to be replaced. Did ask for a contractor to come to the site to repair the post to have the post secured properly. The contractor did show to the property and is unable to make the repairs to secure the wood post. Did meet with the manager to vacate the bottom units. Due to the amount of damage, did request a barrier to prevent entry into the units where the complex has control of the tenants getting into the units. Did advise that if the tenants are to get their items out or need something out of the unit, will need to make contact with the management in order to get into the unit. The management was not able to secured the property and gave permission to have the area secured. Did call Biff Baker Fencing to the site. Used 5-panels and 3-Tee posts to secure. Did used 2-panels near the masonry wall due to the damage to the masonry wall and the metal pickets that were unstable. The fence panels were used to stablize the masonry and the metal picket fencing and safety hazards. The manager did sign all the paper work and this unit will used for info on the cases and will include unit #401, #404, #414. The contractor will be getting with the management on the repairs but nothing will be happening this weekend. Will check in 10 days. RV.
