THE SIGN BARED THE CITY OF TUCSON RED STICKER. A PICTURE WAS TAKEN. AFTER CONFERRING WITH THE SIGN PLAN REVIEWER A CITATION WAS ISSUED FOR REMOVING AND PLACING A STICKER ON A DIFFERENT SIGN ALONG WITH RIGHT OF WAY VIOLATIONS. THE SIGN THAT WAS PERMITTED WAS WOODEN AND 2' X 2.5'
05/22/2015 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Vsiited site, inspected, found as follows, there were two banners placed in city right of way, talked to manager on premises, stated that I was inspector for the city of Tucson code enforcement and that the banners were placed illegally in the city right of way again and that I needed to talk to the owner, she stated that he was not there, I then explained that I needed to see her drivers license to issue a civil citation for the illegal banners, she then stated that she knew that she should have not placed the banners up, she then handed the drivers license to me and then stated that she did not want me to have her drivers license and then gave her drivers license back to her, I then explained that I would contact Tucson police Depatment for assitance and she stated that that was fine and that was the only way I was going to recieve her Drivers license, I then contacted 911 which put me thru to Tucson Police Department and requested asstance, Tucson Police arrived and secured drivers licence, wrote citation expalined citation and the arraingment day and time, and had manager sign and gave a copy.I then left the premises.
04/27/2015 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved Site still has banner attached to the bottom of the roll-up door and no inspections performed or signs added to the permit. The flag banners are out today but have been seen on other days.
03/25/2015 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved I visited the site with Inspector Navarro to deliver the citation. Upon arrival we spoke with the owner and asked for his driver's license. He said he would get it, but then became belligerent and screaming at us. Inspector Navarro spoke to him explaining the situation and matters worsened. Inspector Navarro then call 911 for assistance from TPD. When TPD arrived they were able to get the owners drivers license and we finished filling out the citation. The officer said the aframe permit was for an address on 36th St. He signed the citation and was given his copy. We then left the site.
03/24/2015 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE Approved No progress has been made with the banner removal or permitting. Send Citation. After researching the a frame sign I can not find a permit issued for the one on site.
