Site inspection of cellar area accessible in retail area. The electrical equipment referred to complaint and identified in area was not active, confirmed by management. Extension cord had been threaded through floor in lieu of permanent wiring to provide lighting in area, which was removed. Structural system for building and flooring above showed it had previous modifications requiring further assessment due to age of building. Access to cellar was an approximate 2'x2' opening with dilapidated stairs that did not conform to current code. First floor (retail area) of store had independently designed "floating" track lighting w/ halogen fixtures; the systems was not supported per code and will require a permit for installation. |
