Received call from Norma - CSR that TFD on site with a car thru building. Arrived and units have cleared and the tenant was transported to the hospital. The car hit the wall from the garage to the interior of the house. The door was pushed in and not able to open and close due to jambed into position and is wedged from the impact. Wood studs were pushed or brokened at the bottom and off the bottom plate. The bottom plate is OK and able to be re-used. The drywall has been brokened on the garage side, the washer and dryer storage room, the bedroom with the closet and around the door from the garage to the interior of the house. The area near the hallway appears to be OK but the drywall needs to be checked if the nails are popped where no damage is due to movement in the wall from the impact. The tenants will be able to remain in the house and the owner will check with the contractor when the repairs are being done to remain in the house. The owner did show to the site and signed all the paper work and will secure the area once the contractor has check the damage. The house is under Section 8 and will let Section 8 know of the damage done to the house. Took pictures. Will check in 30 days. RV. |
