Have your contractor submit a new application to place the permit in their name, have them also provide a letter indicating you are allowed to submit and obtain the permit in their name. (If you choose a sign contractor, they work with us by email. General contractors can contact us for help.) 2) Per SC 3-18, Provide attachment detail listing number of total penetrations to the building, the size and number and type of bolts/screws, etc. 3) Per NEC. 600 - Provide electric detail in side view form - label the sign as a "cabinet", show raceway (likely applicable due to age of building and electrical connection locations), list number of volts, amps, circuits and label disconnect switch. 4) PER OLC 403.5 Outdoor Lighting Controls. 403.5.1 The means of controlling the specific "off" curfew shall be by a 24 hour timing device that includes stand-by power to maintain the time and program for a minimum of 6 hours. *Provide notation a timer will be provided.* 5) Per SC 3-82,C., The application and drawings are missing the "street frontage" (length of the suite's building wall facing 9th street) dimension used to calculate total sign area. (Understood the sign is less than 14 sqft and will be within code allowance for a C-3 zoned property, the frontage is needed for verifying code compliance, accurate records and conducting inspections.) 6) The drawings show the sign is going on the east facing elevation of the building, note staff filled in the elevation on the sign permit application. 7) The application lists the height to the top of sign at 12.58 feet, staff added this to drawing for the applicant. 8) The location for the sign is on a contributing building within downtown and in a National Warehouse Historic District. The proposal will require a historic review. We will refer the applicant to the historic review process once the above review comments are addressed. Revisions can be emailed directly to the reviewer. |
