5) Acknowledged a site plan is provided with what appears to be "yellowed" sight visibility triangles (SVT), but they are not labeled nor dimensioned. This is not a copy of a City of Tucson approved/stamped site plan, which would likely have the SVTs already on it. Contact Loren.Makus@tucsonaz.gov if you need assistance with SVT sizes, however, recommended to obtain the city approved version.
6) Per UDC 7.4.6.f.2.b - Sign appears to be right at edge of parking area access lane (PAAL). Provide minimum 2' setback along a PAAL from face of curb to sign.

SIGN CODE REVIEW:

7) Dimension side view at max width, SC 3-18 and Sign Code Administrator's advisement all freestanding signs are to have dimensioned side view.
8) Acknowledged premise has over 450' of frontage along Fort Lowell, however, site plan font is too small to read clearly and will not scan for records.
9) SC 3-18, Print site plan to specific scale for review of sign setbacks and SVTs at a font that can be scanned (minimum 12 pt) and send hard copy in mail.
10) Per 3-61.A.2 - monument sign cannot exceed 50 sqft sign area, Per SC 3-60. Per Administrator's determination November 20, 2013 "the area of a sign cabinet is to include the entire area contained within the cabinet." The proposed cabinet is 8' x 7'10", which exceeds 50 square feet. Revise drawing and application.
11) For signs within 40' of the roadway, sign height is measured from elevation of closest travel lane per Sign Code Section 3-33.A. - OR, Per Sign Code Administrator's determination, height may be measured from top of street curb. Provide diagram showing sign height taken from either travel lane surface or from top of street curb - to top of cabinet.
12) Further review responses may be forthcoming, depending upon information provided in resubmitted materials.
