1) Per SC 3-18.C.1, provide engineering for sign structure. Further review comments may be forthcoming, depending upon responses provided.

OUTDOOR LIGHTING CODE: (LeeRay Hanly, Reviewer)
1) Demonstrate how LED light source at top of sign, identified as "down lighting" complies with OLC Chs. 4 & 5.

SIGN CODE:
NOTE) Acknowledged sign behind scenic buffer and sign area proposed at 41 sqft within sign area allowance.

1) HEIGHT: Per SC 3-33, grade of a sign more than forty (40) feet from outside edge of street or roadway travel lane is lowest point of elevation of a finished surface within a twenty (20) foot radius of base of the sign. Plan shows 8' O.A.H. from ground at sign base (helpful for inspections, please keep that on there). On elevation plan, show height from lowest finished surface elevation within 20' of sign base to top of signage.
2) SIGN AREA: Provide square footage of each tenant panel for future change of copy.
3) SETBACK: Per 3-83.E.3.d.1. - list setback from right of way line/property line. Must be within 50' of right of way line (scaling of site plan appears to show 35'). (Acknowledged setback shown from curb line of travel lane as well, thank you.)
4) LIGHTING: Per SC 3-83.E.3.f.: Acknowledged night view of the sign shows cabinet area and light through letters only. Demonstrate on drawing how individual letters above cabinet will appear at night and provide following note on the plans: "Sign panels shall be opaque. Light shall be emitted through individual translucent letters and/or symbols only, or individual letters and/or symbols may be halo illuminated. Unused tenant panels shall be opaque and designed to match the rest of the sign."
5) THICKNESS: Per Sign Code Administrator, thickness of a sign is part of construction specifications. Dimension side view max thickness and show raised lettering areas.
6) REZONING Conditions: For future sign design, list Rezoning case C9-03-12 condition on plans "The site shall be designed to be fully integrated with the commercial development to the north, including a consistent architectural theme." To note condition met and for records, provide photo showing existing signage of the parcel to the north in Marana jurisdiction for comparison with proposed sign.
