Responded to site from call out. Found a woman living in the structure with numerous birds from chickens, duck to a large turkey. The interior of the unit had a heave smell of urine and feces. TPD was on site as we arrived and stayed until we left. Inspector Valdez and I inspected the unit and found unsanitary conditions. We also found electrical and fire hazards. Inspector Valdez spoke with the owner about the conditions present. It was determined that she had 48 hours to remove the immediate items such as the space heaters, the electrical adaptors and extension cords. She was to move the items next to the stove to prevent a fire. She is to repair the lighting in the living room and bathroom. She is to remove the feces and urine soaked carpet. A return inspection was scheduled with her and her neighbor for Monday. She was informed that if these items were not in compliance on Monday that it would result in condemnation of the unit. A notice of violation was issued. |
