08/08/2014 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | VISITED SITE, SPOKE WITH ANN MARIE RUSSEL (DIRECTOR FOR MOCA) , DID NOT MENTION ANY THING ABOUT PROBLEMS WITH PERMITTING, SHE SAID HER ISSUE WAS WITH PARKING IN FRONT OF THE BUILDING ALONG MCKINLEY WHERE THERE IS A SIDEWALK AT STREET LEVEL EXISTING FROM THE PREVIOUS TFD DRIVEWAY. ANN MARIE STATED THE PROBLEM IS WHEN THE TCC HAS A EVENT, PEOPLE WILL PARK ON THE SIDEWALK AREA THINKING IT'S FOR PARKING. AERIAL VIEWS FROM 2002 SHOW THE EXISTING DRIVE AND A STRIKE JOINT 9-10 FEET FROM THE STREET WHERE A RETAINING WALL IS NOW ADDED. TRANSITIONS FROM CURB HEIGHT SIDEWALK TO STREET LEVEL SIDEWALK ARE PROVIDED. THERE IS NOTHING TO KEEP PEOPLE FROM PARKING ON THAT SIDEWALK AREA AND ANY PERSON TRYING TO USE THE SIDEWALK WOULD HAVE TO WALK AROUND PARKED CARS. SIGNAGE OR RAILINGS MAY BE REQUIRED TO DETER PEOPLE FROM PARKING THERE. **THIS IS NOT A CODE ENFORCEMENT ISSUE. |
