Received call from communication that T.F.D. on site with a building fire. Arrived and the units were checking for hot spots. The fire was on the bottom cord of the trusses. The trusses were doubled for the AC unit on the roof. Had conduit on one site and the burning was on the oppisite side of the conduit were no electrical was placed. The AC unit was worked on and the wires may be touching the metal and engerizing the ductwork that was next to the truss where the burning was located. The electrical was removed at the disconnect at the exterior by T.E.P. Will require a re-connect for the electrical to get the power back on. Due to the damage and the location of the fire on the trusses, the repairs or replacement may require an engineer approval of the changes or have looked at by the engineer. Did meet with the tenant and did go over that the Hair Salon may be closed for awhile due to the damage is with the roof and the trusses may required to be removed. Did meet with the owner and will need to call an electrician to check the wiring due to the fire was located where no electrical was located and may have arched from the ductwork to the bar on the trusses. Did the posting of "Do Not Enter" on the front of the store and took pictures. The insurance company did show on the property and will push the repairs to be done soon and was meeting with the owner of the property. Will check in 30 days. RV. |
