06/05/2014 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved Received call from communication that T.F.D. on site with an apartment fire. Arrived and the units were still looking for hot spots on the roof. The investigators were on site to check for the cause of the fire. The fire was in the bathroom area in the ceiling and going into the roof area. Vent holes were cut on the roof to check for fire in the trusses. The exhaust fan was burned with some of the wiring in the area in the ceiling in-between the drop ceiling and the trusses. The drywall was pulled down to check of for fire in the hallway and the bedrooms and the living room. The front door was kicked and broken in half. The maintenance supervisor gave permission to have the opening secured. Did call Bathcrest to the site to have the 3' door opening secured. Did check the other units for damage and found none. The power was removed at the panel with turning the breakers off. Did have to call an electrician to site to check the system due not able to turn the power back on. Did have to check on what unit were effected by the disconnect not being able to be turned back on. Found 12 units with out power. Will check back during daylight hours. RV.
