Arrived and the units were clearing the site and the investigators were on site looking for cause. T.E.P. on site and the meter was blanked due to extension cords throughout the house. The bedroom where the fire was located needs to be checked for heat and fire damage to the electrical system. The house has clutter and blocking passages to all the doors and windows to use for rapid escape in the event of an emergency. The attic has bags of foam being stored. A vent hole has been cut in the roof in the middle bedroom. The fire appears to be from over loaded surge protectors with clothing placed above the cords. The area was filled with a large amout of cords to the surge protectors. The main electrical panel has triple lugging and the dead front is on the ground. The exterior lighting has been added to existing lights on the exterior on extension cords to other location in the front of the house. The property has trash and debris with some storage through out the front, sides and the rear yard. Has J.M.V's in the front and the rear yard. The vehicle in the front driveway is being worked on at this time. The house is lacking smoke detectors and the heating and cooling system needs to be checked for smoke damage. The drywall was pulled down from the ceiling in the bedroom where the fire was located and has small section pulled down to check through out to check for fire in the attic areas. The smoke damage is near the fire area with light smoke damage in the hall and the middle bedroom. The owner was not allowed to remain in the house due to lacking the electrical and the gas to the house. The owner was talking to Redcross for placement. The house was posted "Do Not Enter" on the front window and the owner was going to secure the house once Redcross completed the placement. Will do N.O.V for other issues on the house. RV.
