| 03/13/2014 | INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE | Approved | Went by the house again today and it was again clean and free of violations. There was nobody there and the house was secured. | |
| 02/27/2014 | INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE | Approved | Went to post the house with a Keep Vacant and an Order To Vacate and happened upon Steven Horton Jr. who was driving by the residence on his way to the County Assessors Office to pay the property taxes which are in arrears. Steven stated his brother Nathan was not living at the home on a regular basis however would come to the house periodically to check on the condition. Nobody was in the residence today. I asked Steven to show me the electrical load center and we went to the west side of the home where the service drop is located. The meter had been removed as TEPCO had advised and there was a transparent plate and lock covering the meter base. There were no jumper wires or other alterations to the service panel to indicate the possible theft of electricity. There were no extension cords extending away from the house either. I explained to Steven that the house should not be occupied until the power was restored. He explained he lived in Tombstone, Az. and would not be able to control the actions of his brother but would attempt to speak with him to pass on the information. I will call the brother of the deceased, the complainant, and advise the same and urge him to resolve the issues with TEPCO to restore power. I did not post the property at this time and will monitor periodically for occupancy. |
