Communication called Martin Romero and T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and units were clearing and the overhaul was completed. The house was cleared to enter to look at the damage. Fire investigators were on site to check for the cause. The fire was in the northwest bedroom with heavy smoke through out. A vent hole was cut on the roof in the bedroom only. The windows were broken on the casement frames on the bedroom and the bathroom to the room. The electrical was turned off at the breakers and called T.E.P. to have the meter booted. Found conduit on the exterior near the main electrical service that have heat damage and arched in the conduit on the top of the main service. The gas was pinned at the meter by S.W.G. The gas line to the fireplace and the bar B Que has been capped at the house connection with the gas valve removed to that area. The electrical and the gas will need to have permits issued for re-connect to have turned back on. The interior of the house has plastered walls and ceilings and has holes through out to check for fire in the attic and the walls. The owner lives in Texas and the sister and the mother live in the house. Was able to talk to the owner and he will be calling the insurance to check the damage. Did the posting on the front window of "Do Not Enter" and talk to the owner on entering the property. The sister and mother were going to stay with family somewhere else and Redcross will be called if needs assistance on the clothing. The house was able to secured and once they have got the items they need they were going to lock the house. The sister signed all the paperwork and she will give those to the owner. The main damage was to the N.W. bedroom and the bathroom. The family was ready to leave the site. will check in 60 days. RV. |
