Visited site to take pictures to start a new case; inspection found zoning violation, running a Salvaging and Recycling operation with out proper zoning review, dilapidated structures on the property. Refuse and overgrown vegetation, over 190 JMV's with commercial storage which the owner cannot do. Found the property to have a city chain and lock on the gate, the city chain went though the owners chain and lock so he could make entry into his property. Was flag down by a man in a red pick-up truck that was sitting in the front of the property he stated that a man jumped over the fence and took off but left behind some car batteries and a Radiator. He state he was cliant of Mr. Tormas. Called Mr Luff who is Mr Tormas Attorney and I told him that someone has removed some batteries and a Radiator and that they were placed on the front of the North end of the property. He asked if the City still had a lock on the property and I said yes, that we did not want to remove the lock and leave the property unsecured I told him that Mr Tormas has not contacted us about the lock and that we would leave the lock on until Mr Tormas or you if you want can put a lock on the property. |
