01/29/2015 FIRE - FINAL Partial Approval Exterior gates have panic hardware. Kitchen exit door has panic hardware. Two main dining exits have signs over the top per (1008.1.9.3 exception). Insulation is now higher with 1 " clearance from uprights. All emergency lighting on patio is installed and emergency lighting interior/exterior operates on AC power shut down. Exit sign emergency power operates on AC power shut down.
Wire Mesh with greater than .75 holes now over closet containing hot water heater allows for coverage from pendant above. Seating inside is now reduced to 48. The proper nozzles are covering the appliances after Wildcat moved them, however the nozzle over the r burner range is not withing the required limits per Ansul R 102 system coverage with a 1N nozzle. It is currently 44 inches from the burner and the design for this nozzle is between 30 inches minimum and 40 inches maximum height distance from nozzle to burners.

01/26/2015 FIRE - FINAL Denied 1. TFC 901.6 Sprinkler heads over the dining area are too close to insulation. Need a 1 in separation plane between heads and ceiling.

2. Install sprinkler heads in outside storage cage or remove covering (roof). Drop head in hot water heater storage closet or remove covering and must be clear of nearest sprinkler head 18 inches in all directions. Drop a sprinkler head in freezer/cooler that is East most. Drop a sprinkler head in womens restroom closet or remove covering preventing coverage from sprinkler on the rooms ceiling. TFC 903.3.3

3. Need emergency lighting installed on the West patio wall near the NW exit. All out door emergency lighting shall operate when power is cut. TFC 1006.1 and 1006.2

4. Indoor exit sign over the West exit door from dining shall operate when the power is cut. TFC - 1011.1 and 1011.2.

5. Outdoor patio needs panic hardware installed on all exit gates. ( x 3) TFC - 1008.1.10

6. Existing indoor seating is 60. The determined occupant load on the approved plans is 48 for dining and 5 for staff areas ( kitchen, bar). The indoor occupant load is over 50 and this kicks in the requirement for panic hardware on all exits ( TFC 1008.1.10) except the 'main' exits provided a sign is placed over those exits stating " This door to remain unlocked while the building is occupied" ( TFC 1008.1.9.3) Panic hardware is required on the exit from the hallway serving the kitchen and bathrooms ( East most Exit).

7. Appliances under hoods shall be lined up according to proper nozzle coverage. ( TFC 904.11.6.1).

8. Need copies of annual sprinkler inspection and hood system inspection reports showing: proper placement of nozzles and equipment and a passing hood suppression system test. ( TFC 904.11.6.2)
