| 07/14/2014 | FIRE - FINAL | Denied | Shut down business they were stocking inventory without fire department approval according to the contractor they did get the building official approval but was told to get the fire department approval. Contractor stated he called the phone number on the permit card and a woman sent him to a phone and had to leave a message, this was done on July 09, 2014 no one called back so corp. order to stock. I order all non-construction personnel out of business until all sprinkler corrects are completed. Check all up right coverage for proper spacing and a max of 12 inches from deck: 1. Correct sprinkler coverage some upright heads are more than 12" inches from deck. 2. Correct sprinkler coverage front entrance pocket space lacking upright coverage. Need (4) fire extinguishers 2A-10BC type no more than 75 foot travel distance spaced evenly. Tested emergency lighting and exit signs: 1. 3 exit signs failed 1 in the hallway coming out of the storage area and 2 over the main entrances 2. 2 Back lighting failed closes to the store front in the small sales floor area. |
