| 09/05/2014 | FIRE - ALARM FINAL | Denied | According to the contractor and Simplex Grinnell Phase #1 was completed in 2012. This inspection and final is for phase #2 the new TFD 911 center on the eastside and mezzanine only. The following testing was completed: 1. This alarm system has a class "A" wired system and was taking apart and tested both sides - the horn/strobes, smokes under the floor pull stations worked and passed. 2. Missing battery - passed 3. Ground fault - passed 4. Missing devices - passed 5. Heat detectors and smokes for the dry pipe system activated the alarm but failed to trip the solenoid for the dry pipe. FAILED 6. In stairwell for the mezzanine, horns/strobes are too loud need to remove all horns out of the stairwell and leave only 1 horn/strobe on the bottom floor and keep at 15 decibels above the average ambient sound level. Need to correct # 5 & 6 to get an alarm final. Again only the new TFD 911 center and mezzanine on the eastside was tested. |
