Received call from Kendra the C.S.R. that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and all the units have cleared the site and the investigators were on site looking for the cause. The fire was on the exterior of the house on the west side where a metal awning porch was located. The porch is a total lost and had a small grill and the couches caught on fire. The fire buned all the wood siding on the west side and burned some of the wood frame studs. The wiring on the west wall on the exterior has all been burned to lighting and outlets for 2-different rooms. The drywall was damaged where looking for fire on the interior of the house and in the closet of the southwest bedroom. The electrical was removed at the meter due to the damage of the wiring and will require a reconnect permit for power to be turned back on. The gas meter was pinned for non-payment and not damage to the ga line or any plumbing lines. The smoke detectors have been removed where they were set off and not able to turn off. Did meet with one of the owners and he was shown the damage and what has to be done to have the tenants move back in. The property was vacated and the tenants have some where to stay. The owner signed all the paper work and was securing the property. Did advise the owner if the property not secured by tomorrow that the City will take action to have the property secured. Will check tomorrow. RV. |
