08/14/2013 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved TFD REQUEST FOR AN INSPECTOR, VISITED SITE MET WITH TPD, TFD HAD CLEARED THE SCENE. CALL WAS FOR A CAR INTO BUILDING, TPD INFO OBTAINED FROM TFD WAS THAT UPON ARRIVAL TFD FOUND GAS AND WATER HAD ALREADY BEEN TURNED OFF BY A NEIGHBOR AND THE CAR MOVED AWAY FROM THE BUILDING AND PARKED NEAR BY. UPON MY ARRIVAL I FOUND CAR DID HIT THE GAS AND WATER LINE. GAS LINE WAS BROKEN OFF UNDER GROUND AT A FITTING S/W GAS FOUND HIGH TRACES OF GAS UNERGROUND AND ORDERED AN EVACUATION ASKING ALL OCCUPANTS TO STAY OUT OF THE HOUSE AND AWAY FROM THE DAMAGE. S/W GAS WAS TO DIG THE AREA AND REMOVE THE GAS FROM THE DIRT SO THAT IT DISAPATES INTO THE AIR. CAR OWNER DID MOVE THE CAR INTO A PARKING AREA, IT WAS UNCLEAR TO TPD WHO WAS DRIVING AND THEREFORE THE TWO PEOPLE IN THE CAR WERE NOT CITED. TRIED CONTACTING THE MANAGER WHO LIVED ONSITE, BUT MANAGER DID NOT ANSWER HIS DOOR OR PHONE. TRIED CONTACTING EMERGENCY CALL PERSON WHO MENTIONED THEY MAY BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIRS BUT WOULD NOT BE OUT UNTIL THURS, 8/15.
OCCUPANTS DID HAVE A PLACE TO STAY WITH A FRIEND IN THE TRAILER PARK. EMERGENCY VACATE NOV WAS ISSUED AND NOV FOR REPAIRS TO GAS AND WATER LINES ALSO ISSUED, GAS RECONNECT AND PRESSURE TEST WILL BE REQUIRED. JIM HURD IS THE AREA INSPECTOR.
