Received call from communication that T.F.D. on site with a mobile home fire. Arrived and the units were still checking for hot spots and were doing the overhaul. The fire was started in 3-different areas and was going into a crime scene. The detectives were called and the I.D. unit was called to the site. Did have the gas meter pinned due to damage of the fire. The gas tech did the line test and the survey and all were OK. Will need a permit to have the gas turned back on. The electrical was turned off at the pedistal and had maintenance install a lock on th door panel due to the meter is private and on a master meter system. The fire was in 2-bedrooms and the living rooms and fire was damage to the contents. Drywall was pulled off the walls and ceilings to check for fire. Heavy smoke damage through out the mobile home. The window broke from the heat in the front bedroom. The window had security bars and was able to secure the opening with the breakaway device. The front door was able to lock on the interior and the security door needs to be worked on to keep secured. The rear door was kicked in and not able to secure. The maintenance of the property will check and lock the door in the morning when day light comes. All the other openings are secured. The maintenance man signed all the paper work to give to the owner when contact is made. Did call several times and not able to leave messages. Did the posting of "Do Not Enter" on the front of the mobile home and took pictures. Will check in 45 days. RV. |
