Received call from Martin Lopez that T.F.D. on site with an electrical fire. Did meet on site and T.F.D. and T.E.P. waiting to have inspection on the damage to the electrical panel where damaged from some one working on the panel and dropped a screwdriver on the buss-bar. The person working on the panel was injuried and taken to the hospital for burns. The panel was damage to where the power cound not be left on and the cut out fuses have been pulled taking the power from the whole complex leaving no power. The motel has 14 rooms that were occupied and the owner of the property gave back the money to look for some where else to stay until the repairs completed. The main disconnect had double tapping and went to the another panel on the other side of the building and that panel has issues that will need to be addressed when the other panels are replaced. The property has other issues with the electrical system through out and that will be address with the area inspector. The owner had 2-electrical contractors on the site and one was not able to do the work due to the size of the job. Berts electric was to small to have the work done. Cascade Electric was to look at the damage and will be working with the owner on a price to try and get the power back on a tempoary bases to open up some of the rooms. While walking the property did smell gas and Southwest gas was called to the porperty to check the water heaters for leaks. The line test failed and the gas was removed at 3-meters leaving no gas to the property. The Red Cross was called to the site and was cancelled due to the owner was going to give the tenants back their money to look for another place to stay until the repairs are completed and able to stay on the property. Will meet at the site with the contractor to look on what needs to be done to get the power back on with Rick Hollander. RV. |
