05/23/2013 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT Approved VISITED SITE, A VERNICE TRAILER PARK, MET AND SPOKE WITH OWNER MARK LEHEW. OWNER DID HAVE A VAN PARKED IN HIS CARPORT WITH HIS COMPANY NAME. OWNER ADMITTED TO BE A GENERAL CONTRACTOR, LICENSED BONDED AND INSURED. MARK TOOK ME TO THE REAR YARD, WHERE I FOUND EIGHT TO TEN FEET OF SPACE AND, 2 0R 3 STORAGE SHEDS AND A SIDEWALK TO THE SHEDS. THERE WERE NO TOOLS NO MATERIALS IN THE REAR YARD, AND REALISTICLY NO SPACE TO WORK. OWNER DID HAVE A PIECE OF CABINETRY IN THE CARPORT THAT HE ADMITTED HE BUILD PRO BONO FOR HIS CHURCH, BUT WAS NEARLY COMPLETED. THERE WERE NO TOOLS IN THE CARPORT, PROJECT LOOKED COMPLETED OR NEARLY COMPLETE, AND OWNER MENTIONED IT WAS A ONE TIME THING. HE EXPLAINED THAT HE TOLD THE OFFICE HE WOULD BE WORKING ON IT, AND MENTIONED HE WAS SURE IT WAS HIS NEIGHBOR COMPLAINING BECAUSE THEY HAVE AN OPEN DISLIKE FOR EACH OTHER AND COMPLAINS OFTEN. THERE WERE SMALL PIECES OF WOOD IN THE CARPORT BUT OWNER MENTIONED THEY WOULD BE REMOVED. THE HOME AND PROPERTY IS KEPT VERY NICE AND I HAVE NO REASON TO BELIEVE THE WOOD WILL NOT BE REMOVED, BUT IS NOT IN VIOLATION ANYWAY. I FIND NO VIOLATIONS AT THIS TIME, CLOSE CASE.
