| 02/26/2013 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | Inspector William Navarro received a call from communication that T.F.D. on site with a mobile home fire. Arived and the units were clearing. The fire was in a middle bedroom and in the attic area. The electrical had a short and was contained to the attic area near the closet. Some burning to the wood trusses but not burned out. A vent hole was cut in the roof in the bedroom area. The power was removed at the pedistal to the space by T.E.P. The gas was checked by Southwest Gas and the line test OK and the survey was OK. The gas meter was not pinned but the owner was told that the gas was going to be left on. The appliance were left on. The damage was to the middle bedroom only and to the ceiling area only. The wiring has burning that was near the trusses and all other wiring was OK and will need to be checked for heat damage. The other areas of the mobile home is OK. The owner signed the paper work and did the posting of "Do Not Enter". Took pictures and the owner was going to secure the property and was going to remove some items out of the house. Will check in 45 days. RV. |
