ALSO CHECKED EVERY UNIT DUE TO FINDING DOORS OPENED. DID NOT FIND ANY SIGNS OF TRANSIENTS OR PEOPLE SLEEPING OR HANGING OUT. **TRIED CONTACTING OWNER DANNY EFTIMOFF, LEFT A MESSAGE ASKING WHERE HE WAS AT WITH THE PROEPRTY. **6/19 RECEIVED CALL BACK FROM DANNY WHO MENTIONED HE HAS PLANS COMPLETED AND STAMPED BY AN ENGINEER. DANNY MENTIONED HE HAS PUT ALOT OF TIME INTO COMPLETING THE OVERPASS CAFE, WHICH IS TRUE, REMODELING HAS BEEN COMPLETED AND RESTARAUNT RECENTLY OPENED. DANNY MENTOINED THAT WITHIN A MONTH OR TWO HE HOPES TO GET STARTED AGAIN AT 1130 W MIRACLE MILE. |

| 01/24/2013 | INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE | Approved | PRIOR TO REINSPECTING THE SITE, I MET WITH SUPERVISORS SALDATE AND ROMERO EXPLAINED THE SITUATION AND ASKED THAT INSPECTORS HURD AND VIDAL ASSIST. WHILE ONSITE ROMERO ARRIVED WITH INSPECTOR VINDIOLA AND SALDATE ARRIVED WITH INSPECTOR SMITH. INSPECTOR LOPEZ ALSO CAME TO ASSIST. OUR INSPECTION STARTED WITH THE VACANT UNITS BEING REMODELED OR REHABBED AND COMPLETED WITH OUT PERMITS. APPROXIMATELY 11 UNITS WERE BEING REMODELED, PORCHES TORN OFF ALL UNITS. THE WORK ON ALL UNITS INCLUDED ELECTRICAL PLUMBING, PLUMBING UNDERGROUND (SEWER), NEW FRAMING AND DRYWALL, AND STRUCTURAL ADOBE ISSUES. WE THEN WALKED THE OCCUPIED UNITS AND MULTIPLE MINIMUM HOUSING ISSUES WERE IDENTIFIED. INSPECTOR SMITH AND SALDATE INSPECTED THE FIRE SUPPRESION SYSTEM FOR THE ENTIRE PARK AND OTHER INSPECTORS CHECKED THE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.HAZARDOUS ISSUES WERE IDENTIFIED FOR BOTH OCCUPIED AND VACANT UNITS. PLUMBING ISSUES WERE ALSO IDENTIFIED AND AS ALL INSPECTIONS WERE COMPLETED IT WAS DECIDED THAT THE PARK ELECTRICAL WOULD NEED TO BE SHUT OFF, GAS WOULD NEED TO BE SHUT OFF DUE TO GAS LEAKS AND PLUMBING LEAKS WERE ALSO IDENTIFIED AS WELL AS MUTIPLE WORK WITHOUT PERMIT ISSUES. TPD WAS INFORMED. TEP AND SOUTH WEST GAS CONTACTED FOR SHUT OFFS AND ELECTRICAL SERVICE PANELS TURNED OFF AND LOCKED OUT IMMEDIATELY. INSPECTOR VINIOLA STARTED THE HOUSING PORTION FOR TENANTS REQUIRING HOUSING, PROVIDED NUMBERS AND CONTACTED PRIMEVERA. |
