| 01/19/2013 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | Received call from communication that T.F.D. on site with a car thru building. Arrived and the vehicle has left the scene and the officers are searching for the vehicle. The vehicle hit the manager office living area and doing damage to the living room area. The wall that was hit was masonry and had an opening that was for windows and was framed with wood to block the openings. Found light switches and outlets and the power has been removed at the breaker. The manager is stating that he will secure the opening left from the damage and did request that the carpenters and the electrician be on site before I leave the scene. The opening has a grade beam where the windows were located and currently not allowing the roof to collapse. While doing the paper work the carpenters showed and went over what needs to be done. They were going to remove the masonry block and change the opening to wood frame with 2 x 8's with the prime coat siding on the exterior. Did advise that the framing and the siding could be done but that is as far as they could go. Will need to check the framing and the electrical before it's covered up with the insulation and the drywall. The manager signed all the paper work and will call when completed to check if secured. Let the manager know that on Tuesday or Wednesday that he will need to apply for the permit to have the inspection done to have the work covered. Did check the wall after they were done and all is secured and the manager stayed somewhere else. Will check in 30 days. RV. |
