| 07/03/2014 | FIRE - FINAL | Not ready for Inspection | Was called out by the office to see if underground water line was installed without an approved plan and permit. Talked to a Mr. Jim Strickler contractor for the project (520-280-6521) he stated they have not install any utilities in ground yet because City has stopped all utilities work until City and engineers can come to an agreement. I give him the handout we have for underground fire line requirements and advised him that on his approved stamp construction plans shows that the following work need a separate permits and plans and that he needs to read it. He did asked me some questions about the following: Where to install the key box? I told to install it by the fire riser room door at appro. 5 feet height on the wall. Where to install the address numbers? I gave him the address requirement handout. Where and how many fire extinguishers? I advised him 1 fire extin. For 1500 square feet of building and no more than 75 feet travel distance apart and need to be 2A-10BC type. I then checked the plans and notice that the box for hydrants was checked I asked where his hydrants will be installed and he stated that he not going to be installing any hydrants. I advised him that TFD will checking on this to find out if new hydrants need to be installed. |
