06/27/2012 | SIGN SITE REVIEW | Denied | The submitted package did not include enough information to review the proposal completely, however, staff noted as a courtesy some issues that should be addressed with the additional requested information. Per 3-18.B & B.3. A scaled site plan is required for the review of a proposed freestanding sign. The site plan needs to show property lines, street curbs, linear street frontage dimensioned, sight visibility triangles, driveways, site layout of buildings and setback from the street curb to the leading edge of the sign. Per 3-18.B.4. Please provide construction drawings showing the material the sign is made of and how assembled/supported. Provide drawing of footer depth and width. Dimension the sign on the photo and the construction detail. Measure height from adjacent elevation at the roadway. Per 3-60.A.4. a 20' setback from the face of street curb to the leading edge of the sign is required. The photo layout in the submitted package does not have a dimension, but it appears the sign will be too close to the street. Per definition of a monument sign - provide a pole cover on both poles - or the sign would have to be mounted directly on a foundation.
