Contractor and witness who works for TMC provided written documentation confirming there are no irrigation lines in the footers and the footers were excavated by vacuum truck to the specifications on the approved plans or greater requirement. Further, the contractor takes all responsibility for his work. See Notarized letter and associated documentation on file with this permit.
09/20/2012 SIGN EXCAVATION Approved WENT BY THIS SITE AND HAVE NOTED THAT THE SIGNS IN QUESTION HAVE HAD THE FOOTERS ALREADY POURED AT THIS TIME. I TALKED TO RANDY FROM PRECISE AND HE ADVISED ME THAT HE WAS DIRECTED TO TAKE A PHOTO OF THE HOLES FOR EACH TYPE OF DIFFERENT FOOTER AND PROVIDE THEM TOO ANDREW CONNOR. I ADVISED HIM THAT WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO APPROVE THE FOOTER EXCAVATION AND LAYOUT UNLESS WE HAVE BEEN PROVIDED PHOTOS OF EACH AND EVERY WHOLE THAT HAS BEEN TREATED IN THIS SAME MANNER. HE WILL TRY TO CONTACT THE CREW THAT EXCAVATED THE HOLES AND ASK THAT THEY PROVIDE ME THE PHOTO'S THAT WERE TAKEN OF EACH HOLE.
I TALKED TO GLEN MOYER, HEATHER THRALL, AND ANDREW CONNOR AND HAVE ADVISED THEM THAT I AM NOT COMFORTABLE WITH PERFORMING THIS TYPE OF INSPECTION IN THE FUTURE ON ANY SIGN, SOME ONE NEEDS TOO LOOK AT EACH AND EVERY HOLE PRIOR TO IT BEING CLEARED. THEY ALL AGREE THAT THIS IS A SITUATION THAT WILL ONLY CAUSE PROBLEMS IN THE FUTURE, SO ALL FOOTERS WILL BE PHYSICALLY INSPECTED PRIOR TO ALLOWING THE POURING OF CONCRETE.
