Received call from communication that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and the units have all cleared and the investigator was on site. The owner is out of town and someone was house sitting the house and was on the property. The fire was in the storage room in the carport and started by the dryer. The shed was wood framed and is a total lost. The electrical meter was pulled due to all the wiring for the house has been burned that fed into the service panel. There was a water heater in the storage room and burned. The fire did damage to the wood frame carport and did not get into the house. The window to the kitchen has a broken pane on one side and the kitchen is secured. The person that was watching the house will lock the house and secure the openings to the shed by tomorrow. The person watching the house is the exwife and she signed all the paper work and will give the copies to the owners. The exwife will be calling the insurance and check if the area can be cleaned. She was advised to wait for the clean up due to that the insurance will do their own investigation of the cause of the fire. Once the paper work signed and the building locked left the scene. Will check in 60 days. RV. |
