MANAGER OPENED THE STORE, SMELLED LIKE FIRE, WENT TO THE REAR "WASH ROOM" AREA FOUND A BEE POT FULL OF HONEY HAD OVER HEATED AND BURNED THE HONEY. AT FIRST LOOK IT APPEARED THAT A TIMER THE POT WAS PLUGGED INTO HAD STUCK IN THE ON POSITION CAUSING THE OUTLET TO ARCH. THERE WAS NO INTERIOR FIRE DAMAGE, ONLY THE ARCHING OF THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET. ONLY VERY MINIMUM ELECTRICAL DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE STRUCTURE, HOWEVER TEP DID TURN POWER OFF TO THE STRUCTURE AT THE MAIN SURVICE PANEL AND LOCKED THE METER OUT. NOV WAS ISSUED TO THE OWNER WHO NEVER ARRIVED, OWNER WAS CALLED BY THE MANAGER AND WAS SUPPOSIDLY ON HIS WAY. AREA INSPECTOR RICHARD DIAZ DID ARRIVE, WENT OVER THE SITUATION EXPLAINED THAT A NOV WAS ISSUED FOR ELECTRICAL ISSUES AND RECONNECT. THERE WAS NO STRUCTURAL DAMAGE, NO FIRE OR SMOKE DAMAGE TO THE STRUCTURE. |
